LASER MARKING OF STAINLESS STEEL, TITANIUM, ALUMINIUM AND PLASTIC

These days, it is essential to permanently mark all products, and especially medical devices, so that they can be identified and traced. At Innotool & Greminger, all products are laser-marked according to individual customer requirements during the tempering process or using a colour change. The process is validated for the identification of surgical instruments made of different materials:

• Stainless steels (e.g. 1.4542, 1.4057, 1.4301, 1.4305)
• High performance plastics (e.g. PEEK, POM, PPSU)

UNIQUE DEVICE IDENTIFICATION

UDI is a globally recognised system for uniform labelling of medical devices. The UDI guidelines are followed both for plain text and data matrix codes.
